Coaching
Moving forward with support, on your real work
Coaching is a regular session where we work on your immediate operational priorities: a technical decision, a hard point in the code, an architecture to settle. You keep your hands on the keyboard, I am alongside. The goal is for these sessions to gradually become unnecessary.
When it is worth it
When you know what you want to do but lack an experienced view at the right moment. When you have started building something on your own, with or without AI, and want to avoid expensive mistakes. When you must choose between two solutions and both look reasonable.
The difference with consulting: here, you do the work. I do not take it over, I shorten the time you spend going wrong.
What a session covers
Unblock
The precise point where you are stuck, looked at together. Often the shortest part.
Arbitrate
Two possible solutions, both reasonable. We look at which will cost less a year from now.
Anticipate
What risks failing in three months if left unaddressed today. The part that pays for everything else.
Frequently asked
- How often?
- It depends on the need. Every day at the start, or once a week, or every fortnight. Close enough not to stay stuck, spaced enough for you to have made progress in between.
- Do I need to know how to code?
- No. I coached someone from the legal side who knew nothing about programming. By watching me, they got the principle, and they ended up asking the agent themselves.
A first conversation to see
We look at what you are working on right now, and I tell you plainly whether coaching makes sense.
